What's new

Your helper keeps
getting more useful.

Six Socks is in early testing, and a new version lands every few days. Here's what changed, with the biggest things first. Six Socks updates itself, so you already have the latest.

New in 0.1.8

Tasks, in step with Notion.

Jot down what needs doing in plain words, like "Send Mark's quote by Friday", and Six Socks works out the date. Ask Socks to help with any task, or let it plan your day.

  • Already use Notion? Connect your tasks database and tick things off in either place.
  • Your Notion key is stored in your Mac's Keychain, never in a file.
  • Prefer to keep it simple? Tasks works perfectly well on its own.

Jobs Socks does on repeat.

Say when in your own words, like "every weekday at 8am" or "the first of the month". Six Socks reads it back in plain English and shows the next few times, so you know it understood.

  • A weekly enquiries report, a Monday morning catch-up, a monthly reminder to chase invoices.
  • The Schedule app lists them in order, with what's coming up next.
  • If your Claude plan is nearly used up, Socks waits for it to reset instead.

Comes with Intermediate mode. Jobs run while Six Socks is open.

New in 0.2

Use Six Socks from your phone.

Out now. Six Socks updates itself, so there's nothing to do.

Your helper, in your pocket

Open Six Socks from your phone, tablet or another computer on the same Wi-Fi. Turn it on in Settings, under Other devices. Your Mac still does the work, so nothing new to set up.

Paired, not public

Each device pairs once with a six-digit code from your Mac, and only works on your own network. Remove a device any time.

On your Home Screen

Add it to your iPhone's Home Screen for its own sock icon, and it opens like an app.

Made to fit

Chat, Tasks, Library and Settings are laid out for phones, down to the iPhone mini. Changes show on every device straight away.

Every version.

Everything since the first test version, newest first.

Rules, and a Dock you can set up.

  • Rules: tell Socks how you like things done, like how to write quotes or sign off emails. It follows them every time.
  • Say "from now on..." and Socks suggests a rule. Nothing changes until you save it.
  • Each rule shows how often it was used this month, and on what.
  • Pin up to 4 apps to the Dock in Settings. Your last two other apps appear beside them.

Contacts, and updates that install themselves.

  • Contacts: the people your business deals with, what Socks knows about them, and everything made for them.
  • Socks suggests new people it meets in your requests and emails. Nothing is added until you check it.
  • Email with Socks straight from a contact.
  • Fixed: updates now download and install properly.

The Tool Kit, with your Claude Connectors.

  • See what Socks can do, and the apps connected to your Claude account, like Gmail, Google Drive, MYOB and Notion.
  • From Intermediate, let Socks read from the apps you choose.
  • Socks only ever reads from connected apps. It can't create, change or send anything in them.
0.1.46 Nov 2026

See updates downloading and installing.

  • The top bar shows an update downloading, then says when it's ready.
  • Six Socks tells you when it's installing, so you know it will close and reopen by itself.
0.1.36 Nov 2026

Check and approve Socks's work by email, from anywhere.

  • Email Socks a job and the reply includes what it made, with a PDF for quotes. Reply SEND to send it, or say what to change.
  • Optional private review links, to check and send drafts on your phone.
  • Socks emails you its questions, and carries on when you reply.
  • Forwarded emails reach Socks with the whole trail.

Branding, your own templates, and PDFs.

  • Branding: your logos, colours, fonts, voice and business details, set up from your website in a minute.
  • Add your own quote, report and letter templates, and Socks lays documents out to match.
  • Laid-out documents show as real A4 pages, and save or send as PDFs.
  • Changes come back as new versions, and earlier versions are kept.
  • Everything gets a code, like Q836-007, so you can name it exactly.
0.1.16 Nov 2026

Your helper does real work, on your own Claude account.

  • Ask in the chat and your helper writes emails, reports and documents for you to check.
  • Email your helper from your own address, and it emails you back when the work is ready.
  • See how much of your Claude plan you've used, at the top of the window.
  • Keep working with the lid closed while your Mac is plugged in.
